Seg\u00fan el Monitor de Sequ\u00eda en M\u00e9xico, elaborado por el Servicio Meteorol\u00f3gico Nacional (SMN) y la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional del Agua (Conagua), el 15 de mayo siete de los ocho municipios metropolitanos ya mostraban signos preocupantes de sequ\u00eda. Estos incluyen las \u00e1reas urbanas m\u00e1s pobladas, como Monterrey, San Pedro y San Nicol\u00e1s, que ahora enfrentan condiciones clim\u00e1ticas inusualmente secas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este fen\u00f3meno no se observaba desde la primera quincena de febrero, pero en apenas dos semanas, el escenario ha cambiado dr\u00e1sticamente. A principios de mes, solo tres municipios metropolitanos estaban afectados, pero ahora son siete. Adem\u00e1s, Santiago ha permanecido en sequ\u00eda moderada durante todo el a\u00f1o, lo que indica una persistente y preocupante falta de precipitaciones en la regi\u00f3n. Este cambio tan r\u00e1pido ha sorprendido a los residentes y ha generado preocupaci\u00f3n sobre el suministro de agua a largo plazo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por otra parte, los municipios con sequ\u00eda severa tambi\u00e9n han aumentado, sumando m\u00e1s preocupaci\u00f3n a la situaci\u00f3n. A finales de abril, hab\u00eda cinco municipios en esta categor\u00eda, pero para el 15 de mayo, este n\u00famero creci\u00f3 a siete. Entre los m\u00e1s afectados se encuentran Aramberri, el pintoresco pueblo m\u00e1gico de General Zaragoza, Iturbide y ahora Mier y Noriega.
